Alessandra feels fortunate everyday to have lived in the idyllic Telluride region for over 2 decades, where she passionately pursues outdoor adventures with her friends and family, and finds her work to be gratifying and grounding. Specializing in deep tissue massage, she helps clients trouble shoot specific areas of concern through the use of a variety of therapeutic massage styles, incorporating medical massage techniques, stretching, cupping, clinical active release and myofascial bodywork.

Alessandra seeks continuing education in bodywork modalities whenever her schedule allows. During fall of 2018 she attended courses in Colorado Springs and Boulder to study ART® (Active Release Techniques®) and Advanced Myofascial Techniques for the ankle, ribs, spine and low back. She earned her certification in ART® of the Upper Extremities, and learned new and effective techniques to incorporate into her practice using both skill-sets.

Low back pain can be a tricky symptom to assess; thankfully more often than not, the discomfort can be attributed to soft tissue tension and weakness, frequently traced to the deep and mysterious QL, or, quadratus lumborum. The QL is our deepest abdominal muscle, though easy to consider a back muscle due to its location and function. It is located under our superficial back muscles posteriorly, and under our superficial abdominal muscles and psoas anteriorly, where we bend at the waist.
